What exactly is TopHost?

We are a technology-driven vacation rental management, hospitality and marketing company operating throughout Maine. We partner with homeowners and investors to maximize their property’s income potential through short-term rentals. Our goal is to create long-term relationships with a select number of property owners to maintain a strong portfolio of top performing properties.

Our Team

Nick Maynard

Owner/Operator

Nick began his professional career in the public accounting industry, earning his CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license in 2020. He has been a Mainer his entire life, and finds passion in helping others maximize the potential of what they can achieve through real estate and financial responsibility. In 2021, he and his wife Kayla started investing in real estate with a three-unit apartment building in Westbrook, ME. Later that year they acquired a second three-unit property in Saco. When realizing what the power of real estate can do, Nick decided to pivot his career to building a short term rental management company in early 2023. Nick's goal is to strategically keep TopHost's momentum moving forward and eventually become the #1 Boutique Short Term Rental Management organization in Maine. Nick is also a licensed real estate agent with Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty serving clients throughout Maine.

Kayla Maynard

Head of Guest Experience

Kayla has been an integral member of the TopHost team. Her eye for design and passion for creating exceptional guest experiences has helped create a portfolio of beautiful properties where guests love coming back to stay again. Kayla has also been a Mainer through and through, and she loves sharing what is so amazing about our state and everything it has to offer.
